Elijah was a great prophet. His obedience to His God was often rewarded with great signs and wonders. His confrontation with the false-prophets of Baal on Mt. Carmel is one of the great stories of the Bible. God sent fire down from the heavens and consumed the sacrifice and the altar. Elijah ordered the execution of the 450 prophets of Baal. It was a time of great triumph and display of the glory of God. Soon after, however, Jezebel the wicked queen vowed to execute vengeance on Elijah. He literally ran for his life. Weary, afraid and frustrated he sat down to rest under the juniper tree. There an angel of the Lord came and comforted him fed him and encouraged him. His call from God was renewed and he returned to ministry with even greater purpose and power than before.
An important element of the vision at Trinity Fellowship is to provide a resting place for those in the ministry who may have fallen into sin or for those who are weary, afraid, frustrated or discouraged. Understanding that the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable, our goal is to nurture these people, restore them in love, give them Scriptural counsel, guidance, and correction if necessary and ultimately see them return to the their call with new purpose and focus as they fulfill their destiny in Christ.
